How do I know what my measurements are?
With a measuring tape, measure the following places:
Bust • Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.
Waist • Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortable.
Hips • Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Remember that the tape can’t be too tight or too loose. It also can't curl, it has to be straight so you can get the right measurement.
What if I don’t have a measuring tape?
There are two options
You can use a string • Follow the same process as with the measuring tape, but with the string. Make sure you mark where it ends so that you can measure the string with a regular ruler.
Or measure a piece of clothing • Get a piece that fits you really well and lay it on a flat surface. Then measure where your bust, waist and hips would be. You can do it with a regular ruler. Just remember to add the measurements of the back as well.
PS: this doesn't work for clothes that contain any elastic in their composition.
